Coronavirus 2020

While schools remain closed for the vast majority of children we will continue to offer places for the children of Key Workers and vulnerable children for as long as we have the staff to safely manage this. We also hope to be able to manage this provision through the Easter holidays.

However, in order to reduce the risk of catching the virus, we ask that everyone follows the latest Government and Public Health England advice and:

  • Parents only request a place where it is absolutely necessary
  • Parents carefully consider whether their role in the organisation they work for is a key role in maintaining services that are required by the public
  • Parents only send their children into school when there is no other adult, living in the same  house, that can look after them
  • Parents only leave their children at school while they are working.

If parents do believe they meet the criteria for a place in school they must complete a weekly application form. The situation is changing quickly as is government advice so, for this reason, we will not allocate places for longer than one week.

The application form (attached below) will be updated each week and must be downloaded, completed and emailed to:

 postbox@chuckery.walsall.sch.uk

Requests must be received in school by 1:30pm each Thursday.  Any requests received after this time will not be considered. We will inform parents whether they have a place each Friday.

When you complete the form please include as much detail as possible. The Headteacher will make a decision based on the information you provide and the decision made will be final.

If you are a staff bank worker or have shifts organised on a day to day basis please book a place for each day and cancel any places you do not need giving us as much notice as possible.
