What we have done this term to make us feel proud:

We are really proud of how well the children have settled into Year 1. They have learnt our classroom and our school rules quickly and are always eager to show us they are kind, safe and ready to learn.

The children were very excited to learn about Guy Fawkes and the Gun Powder Plot. They especially impressed us with their amazing listening skills when we had our very own bonfire! We were very proud of the children for having the courage to perform two poems in front of lots of parents for our Bonfire Night assembly. The children also impressed us with their fire safety skills they showed during this assembly and during their forest school sessions.

The children enjoyed learning about the differences between the countryside and urban areas. They made us so proud on their train ride trip. They remembered the school rules and listened carefully to the grown-ups to make sure they were safe on their trip. Their excellent behaviour impressed everyone.

The children have loved their first term of Forest School sessions with Mrs South. They have impressed her with their good listening skills during these sessions. They have learnt new skills such as: using flint and steel and whittling. Their excellent listening skills meant they were safe and ready to learn.

We are so proud of them!
