Reception
Reception Long Term Plan overview
Early Maths
Our Early Maths planning follows the recommendations from White Rose Maths to ensure that all learning is developed and embedded well over time towards children achieving their Early Learning Goal.
Mathematics is taught explicitly in our Foundation Stage by class teachers but is also embedded into children's Continuous Provision so that children revisit and explore concepts repeatedly so they gain a deeper understanding of the elements outlined in the Early Years Framework.
Teaching and the design of provision also takes inspiration from Development Matters suggestions as well as being informed by Bold Beginnings which was commissioned in 2017 and informs best practise.
