Mental Health and Wellbeing

Here at Chuckery Primary School, we take the mental health and wellbeing needs of our children, staff and community seriously. Our school prides itself in the support it offers to those who may need support and are proud to have dedicated members of staff who are trained in ELSA approaches, lego therapy, drawing and talking and circle of friends.  We have a play therapist in school once a week.  We were also in the first cohort of schools to have access to an Education Mental Health Practitioner who offers 1:1 or group sessions for children (Level 1 CAMHS).   Please see below for more information about EMHPs.  A number of children have been trained as mental health ambassadors by our EMHP.

If you are in need of advice or support please do contact Angela McMorrow (Inclusion Manager), Angela Jones (Family Welfare and Safeguarding Support Worker), Afi Islam or Kate Heaton (HLTA SEMH).
