Uniform

Chuckery Primary School Uniform .

At Chuckery , we want the children to represent the best version of themselves and to take pride in their school and appearance . Our school uniform is smart, simple and affordable. If you are having difficulty in sourcing uniform , for whatever the reason, please speak to Mrs Angela Jones , our family link worker , who will be happy to offer support.

What do we wear to school ?

Each child should come to school wearing:

a maroon sweat shirt/cardigan - these items do not have to display the school logo.

a white or yellow polo shirt - these items do not have to display the school logo.

grey or black trousers or skirt

plain socks or tights

and a pair of black shoes.

In the summer months grey/black shorts or red or yellow summer dresses are also acceptable. Please remember that your child may also need a hat for the summer months and they will also need a water bottle and a waterproof coat all year round. Weather can change quickly and what may be a warm morning on the way to school ,can quickly turn into a showery , wet day!

For PE

All children are expected to bring their kit each week which includes:

a black pair of shorts

a plain white t-shirt

a pair of black pumps

with longer hair tied back and without jewellery of any kind.

If your child wishes to wear black leggings or a black long sleeve top underneath their shorts and t shirt for modesty, this is of course allowed.

For swimming

Every child will attend swimming lessons as part of their National Curriculum entitlement during Key Stage 2. Your child's teacher will inform you if your child is attending swimming each term.

To swim , your child will need to wear:

for boys:

plain swimming trunks

a towel

a swimming hat

goggles are optional but may be worn if preferred.

For girls:

a one piece swimming costume

a towel

a swimming hat

goggles are optional but may be worn if preferred.

For Forest School

Each half term, our children engage in outdoor learning and as such need to be properly dressed for messy , muddy fun whatever the weather.

Please ensure on your child's Forest School days , they come to school wearing:

full length trousers, jeans or thick jogging bottoms are fine but no leggings please!

thick socks

a white or yellow polo shirt

an old school jumper

a pair of old trainers , walking boots or wellies.

Wellies may be provided if you do not have these for your child at home.

The children will be given waterproof coveralls for the session but there is a chance that clothing will become dirty , so please be mindful of this when sending your children to school on their allocated Forest days.
